Your Halloween guide to free and cheap events in Chicago's suburbs
Bonfires, trunk-or-treats and costume parties fill the Southland's calendar through Oct. 31, and many cost little or nothing.
Boo-dget alert, Southland!
Witches fly free, ghosts haunt for nothing and the candy flows without a single wallet raid.
Villages and park districts from Richton Park to Glenwood have cooked up bonfires, costume fun and trunk-or-treats that cost zilch, plus a few that cost a couple of crumpled dollars. Glenwood residents carry pumpkins home free. Harvey's got Divine Dancers all lined up.
So dig out the cape, find the face paint and hit the trail. Your candy bag has places to go.
